Mares means 'sea' in Italian, and this hand-blown glass tumbler captures the Mediterranean in every swirl of colour. Artisans mouth-blow each glass from coloured glass paste, then add textured surface details, so every tumbler is completely unique.
At 310ml it is generous enough for water, juice, aperitifs or cocktails, and it is surprisingly robust – dishwasher safe, too. Mix it with other Mares designs for a vibrant, summery table.
It earns its place in the kitchen and looks just as good on the dining table. Treat yourself, or wrap it up for someone who appreciates good design.
Dishwasher safe, so cleaning up after use is quick and easy.

It's a water glass with a fish in the glass, and I was prepared to find that childish. It isn't. The weight is right for something mouth-blown, and it sits with ordinary tumblers without looking lost.

When it's empty I leave it by the sink and it still looks like an object, not a dirty cup. The rim is smooth. I wash it by hand because I'm superstitious, not because it asked me to.

Mostly water at dinner. Sometimes a short drink. The fish catches the light and people pick it up and turn it, which is the reaction you want from a single glass that cost more than a set.
